Menstrual Hygiene day is a global platform that brings together the voices and actions of non-profits, government agencies, individuals, the private sector and the media to promote good menstrual hygiene management (MHM) for all women and girls.
The MH Day was first celebrated in 2014 with the aim of breaking taboos surrounding menstruation, raising awareness on the importance of good menstrual hygiene management and changing negative social norms around MHM worldwide.
SATF; like other stakeholders on MHM, is working hard to improve MHM through her Binti Nadhifu (BN) project, which was established in 2018 with the slogan Binti Nadhifu, Hedhi salama, vunja ukimya!
Since its establishment, BN has supported a total of 1,356 (2018-2019) with two underwear and 12 packs of sanitary towels (120 pieces) and a branded carrying bag to each beneficiary.
