I am the change I wanted to see!

Transforming the lives of the most vulnerable children(MVC) is the primary mission of the Trust. It involves various strategies that responds to contextual solutions, including skills development through  Vocational Training Education of its beneficiaries for those who could not excel to further education. Ms. Halima Mohamed Lindenga (on the photo), being among those who benefitted from the skills development program.

Halima was born in 1994 in Morogoro and was raised by  her widowed Mother, who could not raise funds to support her children to attend school.Therefore, Halima was among the children who were identified and qualified for SATF support. She was recruited into SATF education program support in 2008, when she was in Form I. She successful  completed her O level education; however she did not score grades to enable her  excel to advanced level. SATF sought an alternative placement for her. She was enrolled into VETA in Dodoma where she pursued Certificate in Hotel Management in 2014.

Currently, Halima is working at Mesuma Hotel, Kijitonyama, in Dar Es Salaam as a waitress. SATF team enjoyed her services while conducting a 2-Days Induction session at Mesuma Hotel.

Halima is able to run her own standard life and at the same time extend support to  her family, including her Mother and young brother who are in living Morogoro.
