Children with Cardiac Problems Benefit from SATF donation.

SATF has brought hope to 10 children from poor families by donating TZS 60 million to the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI) to support their medical treatment. The donation is aimed at helping children with cardiac problems whose families may not be able to afford their medical expenses. The SATF Program Manager, Nelson Rutabanzibwa, explained that, the donation is part of the activities marking the Trust's Silver Jubilee and the Trust wants to leave a mark of love on the lives of children with cardiac problems. Dr. Peter Kisenge, the Director of JKCI, thanked SATF for their support, which contributes to the government's efforts in providing health services to its citizens in need. Dr. Kisenge added that, the donation will change the history of these children, as the treatment is expected to put an end to their health challenges and bring back hope to their families On average, JKCI receives about 600 children with cardiac problems every year. This is the second time SATF has donated to facilitate cardiac treatment for needy children at JKCI, having donated TZS 10 million in 2017.
